Pokemon Global Link Pikachu Cup Announced

Recommended Videos

A new Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Pokemon Global Link competition has been announced. The Pikachu Cup Online Competition will have people competing in Double Battle matches with 4-6 Electric-type Pokémon from August 21-23.

People with Pokemon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire must register at Pokemon Global Link with their Pokemon Trainer Club account for the Junior or Masters Division by August 20. They can then begin battling the following day. Remember that Legendary Pokemon like Arceus, Raikou, Thundurus, Zapdos, and Zekrom can not be used in this competition.

Planned rewards for the Pikachu Cup Online have to do with how many people Pikachu in the competition. If Pikachu places in the final rankings, then people who completed at least three battles and placed will receive an in-game gift. Should Pikachu come in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, everyone will get a special Pikachu. Light Balls will be distributed if the Pokemon’s rank is fourth through twelfth. 1,000 Poke Miles will be given away if doesn’t place in the top 12. Each type of Pikachu, be it standard or one of the cosplay variations, will be tallied separately.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are immediately available for all Nintendo 3DS owners.
