The song was composed and written by artist 32ki, with the music video animation made by Yomitan Akane. It belongs to Project Voltage High, the sequel to the original Project Voltage song and art crossover collaboration featuring Pokemon creatures and Vocaloid Hatsune Miku. The promotion of the new song started with the reveal of an artwork depicting Kasane Teto alongside her Pokemon partner Meloetta as the “rival” to Miku.

This illustration was originally announced as an April Fools’ joke through the Project Voltage official social media. It was later announced that the song was real and would be revealed later in the day. A second art appeared showcasing the Synthesizer V and Utau character next to Sudowoodo and Mimikyu.
