Ahead of gamescom 2025, the official Pokemon social media account teased a reveal for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and it turned out to be a “found footage” trailer for Mega Victreebel. This is yet another completely new Mega Evolved character debuting in this entry. The nature of the video means we don’t really get to see attacks, but we do get a very good look at its appearance.
In this Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Victreebel trailer, we see “The Case of the Sweet Scent Incident” involves found footage from a website. After getting permission, a pair enter an abandoned building. Almost immediately, they start to see odd purple liquid on the ground and smelling the “sweet scent.” We see the young woman explore, while our perspective offers a first-person look through the eyes of the cameraman.
As they get into a main hallway of the building, they start to see Pokeon lurking about. Espurr, Spinarak, and Noibat show up all at once, one after the other. The two escape upstairs, and they smell the scent even more. It’s then that they see someone else is up there, and Mega Victreebel appears.
Here’s the full trailer. Fortunately, there’s a relatively peaceful resolution.
Mega Dragonite is one of the other new evolutions showing up in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A will come to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 16, 2025.
