It took a while, but now all Eevee evolutions are now available as playable characters in Pokemon Unite thanks to Flareon and Jolteon joining as part of the October 13, 2026 update. As with the past Eeveelutions in the game, each starts out as Eevee when you play, then evolves into the fire or electric type as you level up during matches. You do need to acquire the licenses for each one to use them in-game, which cost 590 Aeos Gems each. The first Evolution to join, as a reminder, was Sylveon.
The movesets for both Eevee evolutions already got teased in new trailers from Timi Studio, so we know how Flareon and Jolteon work. Flareon falls into the All-Rounder range and is a Melee unit. The announcement noted it is considered an Intermediate difficulty character to use in a match. That evolves at level four and has Offense as its highest stat, followed by Endurance and Mobility both at three stars. It can use Swift at the start, then picks up the moves Tackle at level three, Fire Blast at level four, and Flare Blitz at level six. It also knows the Flash Fire ability to increase its Heat Gauge to increase its attack and send out heat blasts. Its Unite Move is the Garnet Ignition attack that also increases in power based on its Heat Gauge level.
You can see Flareon in action in Pokemon Unite below.
With Jolteon, it is a Speedster character that is also a Melee attacker in Pokemon Unite. It is considered an Intermediate difficulty unit too. Its offense and mobility stats are both at four stars, but everything else is at two or below. That evolves from Eevee at level four too. It starts with the Swift attack, then picks up Quick Attack at level three, Pin Missile at level four, and Volt Switch at level six. Its Quick Feet ability applies Jolt Counters to enemy Pokemon it hits, making it faster than that opponent for each one. If the enemy gets five Jolt Counters, the character’s attack will be boosted. Its Unite Move is Plasma Quintupulse, which deals thunder damage and more damage to opponents with five Jolt Counters.
Here’s the Jolteon moveset trailer.
