Shogakukan released a biographical manga this week on Pokémon creator and Game Freak founder Satoshi Tajiri. The manga tells the story of his upbringing and leads up to the making of Pokémon Red & Green. [Thanks, Anime News Network!]
Apart from showing off Tajiri’s fascination with insect collecting, other things mentioned include playing Space Invaders in the 1970s, as well as other game creators who inspired him to take the step forward and create Pokémon.
The book is 160 pages long and costs around 900 yen. Apart from the manga itself, the book features commentary by Nintendo Creative Fellow Shigeru Miyamoto, as well as columns written by Tajiri himself.
