Famitsu published an interview with Luca Galante from Poncle about the developer’s upcoming release of Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton. The Italian game creator, who is working as the director of this game, mentioned the possibilities of releasing post-launch updates and additional content for Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton.

This game will support a multiplayer mode with up to eight players. With such a mode included, Famitsu noted that there may be a necessity to periodically update the game balance. Luca confirmed the intention to release updates for Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton after its launch, just like how Poncle has also been releasing patches for its earlier games, such as the original Vampire Survivors.

However, Luca Galante clarified that Poncle is not considering running this game as a live-service title. The studio will first focus on finishing the game’s development and releasing it. The team will then look at feedback from players. If the game sells well, Luca hopes to establish a cycle where the studio can release more additional content for it.

In the same interview, Luca noted an additional challenge in developing this game, as Poncle has to include features requested by Shueisha Games as the game’s publisher. However, the game’s director assured that the development is progressing smoothly, as his image of the game aligns closely with the publisher’s image of the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise IP.

Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton will be available for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam worldwide in 2026.
