Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World Won’t Include Multiplayer

In the Nintendo Wii U version of Yoshi’s Woolly World, a friend could hop in at any time to help you complete a level. That won’t be happening in the Nintendo 3DS release. Game Informer’s latest issue contains a preview for Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World that notes that the handheld version of the game doesn’t support multiplayer adventures.

There will be some other differences people may notice as they play through Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World. In addition to the Yoshi editor, which will have options to make both simple and more complex patterns, and Poochy Dash levels, where you control Poochy and collect beads as you can before time runs out, the game will run differently depending on your hardware. It will run at 30fps on a Nintendo 3DS and 60 fps on a New Nintendo 3DS.

Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World will come to the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on January 19, 2017, followed by North American and European launches on February 3, 2017.
