It seems that a new Power Rangers-based fighting game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A trailer for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid has appeared online. The fighting game willbe released in April 2019, with the PC version releasing sometime later. (Thanks, Dante Nintendo Switch World!)
The leaked trailer noted that nWay, Lionsgate Games, and Hasbro are all involved. It also featured Jason David Frank, the original Green Ranger. A standard edition will be $19.99 and a digital collector’s edition will cost $39.99 and include the season one pass with three characters and both Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink Ranger and Lord Drakkon V2 skins. A Green Ranger V2 skin is apparently going to be available as a pre-order bonus.
Here is the leaked Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid trailer. The gameplay focuses on a match between the Green and Red Rangers, with the Yellow Ranger coming in at one point to help the Red Ranger.
As a reminder, nWay previously released the mobile fighting game Power Rangers: Legacy Wars for Android and Apple iOS devices. It looks like these two games have similar character designs and gameplay.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will be released in April 2019 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, followed by a PC release. The official website is now open at Battle for the Grid.
