Saga Prefecture is all about having fun with collaborations, which previously included Square Enix’s SaGa series on a few occasions. Saga Prefecture even had a collaboration with Baki the Grappler. The next one might be the biggest one yet, after Team Rocket takes over.
If you visit the Saga Prefectural Government’s official website you’ll notice Meowth sneaking around saying Team Rocket’s time has arrived, and to click if you’re interested in joining Team Rocket.
Upon doing so, you’ll see a transformation with Meowth and the Team Rocket logo covering the entire website.
This is followed a floating image of the iconic Team Rocket Meowth blimp with an attached message saying that more details will be announced on the website through a live broadcast on October 25 at 11:00am JST.
No further info was shared, but Team Rocket left behind a little memo saying they’ll need at least 1 million people and Saga Prefecture only has about 820,000 so that it won’t be enough. IT also says something about a flashy entrance from the night skies, a balloon festa that will succeed, several possible locations, “Saga x Boss = ?” and something about catching all the customers’ Pokémon.
We’re not entirely sure what’s going to happen, but we’ll definitely keep an eye out. In the meantime, those of you in Saga should make sure to keep your Pokémon close!
