Production I.G. Animating A Short Film For PlatinumGames’ Infinite Space

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

Sega is on a roll with RPGs. Infinite Space will join Seventh Dragon as another RPG scheduled to come out on the Nintendo in Japan in spring 2009. Way before it comes out Production I.G., the animation studio from the Ghost in the Shell series, and Gonzo who worked on Afro Samurai will team up to make a short animated flick for Infinite Space. Sega already confirmed Infinite Space will come out in North America, but we don’t know if the promotional movie will be released. Chances seem likely since the movie will be another way for Sega to promote Infinite Space – whatever kind of space opera RPG it is – before it arrives in stores. Infinite Space seems like a mammoth project compared roping in animation studios, PlatinumGames, and it even drew Nude Maker out of obscurity. They previously worked on Capcom’s Steel Battalion series.
