As part of Level-5 Vision 2026 Craftmanship stream, the company confirmed a new release window for Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. The new estimate suggests it will appear in late 2026. In addition to appearing on the Switch and Switch 2, PS5 and PC are confirmed. There is a new trailer that highlights what to expect, and it also involves opportunities to hear Joe Hisaishi’s score. However, it doesn’t feature the new theme song by Lilas.

It will also be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

When Level-5 first announced the game was in development, it had a 2025 release window. However, in September 2025, it got pushed into 2026. It’s unknown if it could end up slipping to 2027 due to the new estimate putting it at late 2026.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam will come to the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC.
