Professor Layton Is Getting A New Major Title With A New Protagonist

Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino revealed during a recent livestream that a new Professor Layton is in the works, and it’ll be a major title to be announced at this Level-5 Vision 2016 on July 27. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

The last Professor Layton game we saw was Layton 7, which was a smartphone game loosely related to the series. According to Level-5, the new Professor Layton game will be its revival as a major title. Hino said that the voice talent for the new Professor Layton game will be topnotch, and that we’ll also get a new protagonist. This protagonist won’t be Layton’s son Alfendi.
