Project Sylph, Square-Enix’s Xbox 360 shoot ‘em up

This article is over 18 years old and may contain outdated information

Square-Enix is going to continue supporting the Xbox 360 with a new game that’s part of a classic franchise. Project Sylph (tentative title) is a 3D shooting game based in the Silpheed universe. Fans of the Sega CD might recall that Silpheed was the first and last game to take advantage of polygonal rendering on the Sega CD. The game is being designed by Game Arts who created the series in 1987, but the first batch of screenshots suggests Square-Enix’s cinematic influences are in Project Sylph. Another shot shows ship customization where you can switch around weapons. Check below a few more screenshots of the game.
