Project X Zone 2 Demos Mirage Cancels, Monolith Soft’s Bullet Time

Bandai Namco recently revealed the latest of their crossover RPG series with Project X Zone 2 for Nintendo 3DS. The latest trailer shows a lengthy look at some of the game’s characters in action, along with a peek at some of its new features.

The video starts with a look at some of the crossover characters seen in games by Capcom, Bandai Namco, and Sega. At the 5:13 mark, we get to see the new “Mirage Cancel” system, that lets you make everything go into slow motion, making it easier to land critical hits.

Getting more Cancel Points during a Mirage Cancel will get your more XP; however, if you mess up your timing, it’ll decrease your XP and the amount of damage you can dish out, so you’ll want to focus on getting it right while it’s active.

Project X Zone 2 will release in Japan on November 12, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
