There are big updates on the way to Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis. Sega’s October 5, 2021 NGS Headline came and went, and many things will come up in October 2021. The PSO2 New Genesis Bouncer class will appear on October 13, 2021, followed by the Halloween event on October 27, 2021. Then in December 2021, a major update will appear. It will add Retem and new story content to PSO2 New Genesis.
The Bouncer in PSO2 New Genesis is designed to attack with Soaring Blades and Jet Boots. That means you’ll have an array of melee attacks. While there are some mid-range attacks, it will be a close-range fighter. Central City’s Deirdre will help people get settled with the new abilities.
The Halloween event will involve decorations and special tasks. There will be Limited-Time tasks and enemies that drop Seasonal Currency. You can then take this to a special section to buy Mag Forms and Stamps. It will run through November 24, 2021.
Finally, a new region is on the way to PSO2 New Genesis—Retem. This will be a desert space. It will appear alongside an additional story chapter. While there’s no exact release date yet, it will be part of the December 2021 update. The teaser video showed off the area and some of the enemies people will find there.

In addition, a few more things will come up on October 13, 2021. The Mission Pass: NGS Season 1 will run October 13, 2021 through November 10, 2021. There will also be a login event tied to the mission pass that will give people an N-Mission Pass if they stop by before November 2, 2021. There will also be Battledia quests in-game starting on October 13, 2021.
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is playable on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC outside Japan. The Halloween event will run in PSO2 New Genesis between October 27, 2021 and November 24, 2021.
