A new Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis update is scheduled to go live on June 23, 2021, that adds new Gigantix enemy variants as well as wedding themed cosmetics and emotes. The new cosmetics are part of the “Wedding Celebration” AC Scratch Ticket collection event, which will run until July 21, 2021. Scratch Ticket Bonuses also include a special item that changes players’ Glide Motion into a dive. [Thanks, Dengeki!] According to Sega, the new Gigantix enemy is stronger than Dread Enemies and will appear during a lightning storm. This means that players will have a limited time window to engage and defeat the field boss before the weather changes. The variants will come with the added title “Hopeless,” such as the “Hopeless Waulon” and “Hopeless Daityl.” Hopeless Daityl in particular can appear in both its Daityl Sword and Daityl Axe versions. Additionally, players will limited-time tasks involving the new Gigantix variant. They’ll receive SG tickets upon completion. One task will have users find a Gigantix enemy, while another will task players with defeating one. By doing so, players can also receive new Gingantix weapons and gear as loot drops.
Furthermore, the Wedding Ceremony AC Scratch Ticket will add new outerwear, innerwear, hairstyles, accessories, and body paints to the game. This includes two new clothing sets that come in four color variations and innerwear that comes in two colors for each body type. Below is a list of some of the new setwear and emotes:
