Sega announced the next Phantasy Star Online 2 collaboration is upon us. This time, it’s going to be expensive. That’s because the PSO2 NieR Automata crossover doesn’t involve any sort of gacha element. Rather, between October 14, 2020 and November 11, 2020, you can pay a set $34.99 fee and get a pack that corresponds to one of the Yoko Taro RPG’s three main characters.
Here’s how it works. Starting on October 14, 2020, there will be three packs you can buy in-game. One is the 2B Pack, which includes everything to dress someone up as 2B. The 9S Pack, as you would imagine, corresponds to 9S and includes an Emil head. The A2 pack focuses on A2 and offers a Machine Lifeform Head. If you want all three, it will cost you $104.97. However, be advised the 2B and A2 items are largely for all female races and the 9S items are basically for all male races.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is available on the Xbox One and PC worldwide. It is also playable on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan. The PSO2 NieR Automata collaboration packs will be available in-game until November 11, 2020.
