Update: Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Battle Pentagram has an original storyline, which the Magica Quartet supervised.

The game is split into two parts. During the day, you can have conversations and bond with characters. At night, you fight witches and the bond with your partner changes depending on your performance in battle.

Madoka Kaname is playable and her weapon is a bow of light. When Madoka is in a pinch Kyubey can assist her. Homura Akemi has the power to control time. Marie Tomoe is a long range fighter that can tie up enemies using her ribbons. Sayaka Miki is the opposite, a short range fighter that uses a sword. Sayaka’s edge is she’s quick and powerful. Kyoko Sakura has a spear so she’s a short to middle distance fighter.

Correction: Famitsu corrected their article and now say Puella Magi Madoka Magica: The Battle Pentagram is for PlayStation Vita.
