Punch Line Game For PS4 And Vita To Release In Japan On April 28

2016-01-08_063515We previously reported last summer that Punch Line is getting a game by Zero Escape writer Kotaro Uchikoshi and haven’t heard much about it since then. Mages. announced today that the game will release in Japan on April 28. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

Punch Line the anime is about the protagonist Yuta Iridatsu who had his soul separated from his body after a bus hijacking incident and must find the “Sacred Tome of Koraikan” in order to return to his physical body. Oh, he also can’t look at a girl’s panties twice in a row or else Earth gets blown up by a meteor. Er, yeah, it makes a lot more sense in the anime.

The show was actually written by Kotaro Uchikoshi, who also worked on titles such as Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors, Ever 17, and the aforementioned Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward.

As for the game, it’s described as “the end of human race if you look at panties in a fully 3D adventure that is a bit different.” It incorporates a “Prank System” that is used as you advance through the story. It is split between two parts of pranks as you go from chapter to chapter.

In one of the prank parts, it’ll require you to take control of the protagonist and carry out the right pranks in order to clear the stage. In the end you’ll work with everyone to “save the world and stuff.”

Punch Line will release in Japan on April 28, 2016 for PlayStation Vita. The regular version will go for 7,800 yen plus tax, and the limited edition version that features a drama CD and art book will go for 10,800 yen plus tax. The digital version will go for 7,000 yen plus tax.
