Pushing the ZX Spectrum to its limits

This article is over 18 years old and may contain outdated information

Over twenty years since the release of the ZX Spectrum and games are still trying to maximize the computer’s limited 40K of memory. Recently Cronosoft might have pushed the barrier to the absolute limit with Gamex, a package of sixteen different games on one cassette. The overall umbrella that links the 16 games together is a virtual video game exchange. Players trade shares in the different games on the cassette and earn virtual dividends from playing a mini game. Don’t expect any of these mini games to be the scale of an Xbox 360 game, but this is a cool retrochivement for all the Spectrum fans out there.
