During the fifteenth anniversary of the blob stacking puzzle Sega was quick to release Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary Edition for the Nintendo DS, Wii, PSP and PlayStation 2. That was last year. On June 19, Sega will re-release the game for all four consoles for a wallet friendly price of 2,800 yen ($29).
The main improvement in Puyo Puyo: 15th is better multiplayer support. If you have a multitap four players can gel blobs with the PlayStation 2 release. The PSP release supports ad-hoc play for up to four people too. The Wii version connects four remotes and adds waggle screen shaking. However, the Nintendo DS release is probably the best out of the bunch since it has support for eight players locally and four over Nintendo Wi-Fi. As long as Sega doesn’t ship this batch with a critical saving bug, the DS version is the release to import.
