After a leak this weekend, a Puyo Puyo eSports localization has been confirmed. On May 7, 2019, Puyo Puyo Champions will be released outside of Japan. People will be able to play it on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it will cost $9.99.

Puyo Puyo Champions has a presentation similar to Puyo Puyo Tetris, only without any Tetris elements involved. There are 24 playable characters, dual audio options, a Tournament mode for eight players, online multiplayer, and the Puyo Puyo Tsu and Puyo Puyo Fever rule sets. You can also play by yourself in Solo mode. As far as languages go, it has Japanese voice acting and English, French, German, and Spanish language options.

Here is the Puyo Puyo Champions announcement trailer.
