Puyo Puyo Narabe For Android Is More Like Bejeweled Than Puyo Puyo

Sega announced Puyo Puyo Narabe for Android. It’s a puzzle game, but it’s not quite Puyo Puyo. Instead of stacking falling blobs, players touch puyos and move them up, left, down or right. Match four puyos and you clear them from the screen. Bombs, roulette mode, and Puyo cards keep players on their toes.

Sounds more like Bejeweled than standard Puyo Puyo to me. One other difference is Puyo Puyo Narabe has a monthly fee – 315 yen per month – instead of a one time charge or in-game item purchases.

Puyo Puyo Narabe is available now for Android devices 2.1 and up.
