GungHo Online Entertainment America announced today that they’re partnering up with independent game studio Camouflaj to promote and publish future titles, including new episodes of their successful backed Kickstarter title, République. Camouflaj operates out of Seattle, Washington and was founded by Halo 4 creative director Ryan Payton. Payton is also credited as being the producer of Metal Gear Solid 4.
Jun Iwasaki, the CEO of GungHo Online Entertainment America, commented on the partnership, saying “We’ve been long-time fans of République, especially its sophisticated writing and atmospheric world.” Payton and Iwasaki share a vision of bringing core gaming experiences to the global market. “Bridging our years of AAA development experience and GOEA’s broad reach and excellent track record, we hope to define a new generation of top-tier entertainment together.”
République launched as an iOS game and was remade for PCs using the Unity engine as République Remastered earlier this year.
