Quantum Theory Shoots For March Release

image Tecmo’s first attempt at a third person shooter is scheduled for March 25. Just like the rest of the world, Quantum Theory will be a multiplatform Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game in Japan too.

You can get the game for 7,980 yen ($89) or pick up a limited edition with an art book and soundtrack CD for 9,980 yen ($111). Pre-order either version to get a code to download a bonus weapon.

Wonder how Quantum Theory will be received in Japan… will it be favored over Gears of War, which Quantum Theory is often compared to, or will it be shunned because it’s a third person shooter? The Modern Warfare 2 sales figures suggest Japan has been quite receptive to the shooting (and we’re not talking about spaceships) game genre recently.
