R-Type And Other Irem Classics Live On In 3DS Pachislot Game

Irem announced their first game for 2012 and it’s… another pachislot collection. Remember when Irem used to make games like Image Fight and R-Type? They do too and added some of their classics into Pachipara 3D: Ocean Story 2.

Instead of going the Virtual Console route, the Game Boy version of R-Type is one of the four games in the Irem Masterpiece Collection Vol. 1 mode. Interesting name for the mode. It sounds like Irem has plans to create more Masterpiece Collections in the future.
