R-Type Is Back With Online Leaderboards On iOS

Irem might be finished making R-Type games, but that doesn’t mean the Bydo Empire is done for. R-Type returns with an iOS version made by DotEmu, the company that brought Avenging Spirit and Raiden Legacy to iOS.

R-Type for iOS is a port of the arcade classic with Game Center leaderboards and achievements. The game has two control modes – touch mode and a virtual d-pad. R-Type costs $2.59 and is available now on iTunes.
