While you’re hanging out at the Stray Sheep, Vincent can talk to other bar dwellers or play an arcade game. A Rapunzel machine is sitting in the corner of the bar waiting for Vincent to kill some time clearing more block stacking puzzles.
The goal of Rapunzel is similar to Vincent’s nightmares. Players move blocks to create a staircase for Rapuznel to climb. If you get to the top the tower you clear the stage, but there are items in levels to collect which give you bonus points. Famitsu explains your score matters in Catherine’s story. Earning a top score in Rapunzel can open new conversation events with other characters. There are over 50 stages of Rapunzel to play in Catherine.
Famitsu also introduces other characters in Stray Sheep. Erica, the red-haired waitress, is 32 years old and one of Vincent’s childhood friends. Naturally cheerful and loquacious, Erica keeps up with gossip around town and sometimes worms her way into other people’s conversations. By talking to the bartender, Master, Vincent can meet other patrons.
Like who, you say? Todd who works at the same company as Vincent’s girlfriend, Katherine. He shows up to the bar with his subordinate Archie. Justin works for a newspaper chasing rumors around town. An event in the past seems to have bruised his heart, metaphorically speaking. Morgan, a police officer, shows up to the Stray Sheep in his uniform. He’s been following the same case for six years and because of the troubles on his mind he tends to get drunk.
