Re/Member: The Last Night Manga Debuts in Shonen Jump

Shonen Jump + is the home of a new horror manga called Re/Member: The Last Night, which picks up where the original Karada Sagashi web novel and live-action Re/Member Netflix movie left off and is an adaptation of the upcoming sequel film of the same name. Chapter 1 is available in English on MangaPlus now, and it picks up with a new time-loop, body search and Red Person situation taking place after high schoolers visit an amusement park for a school trip.

In Re/Member: The Last Night, students in a high school class find themselves trapped in an urban myth involving something of a death game. Each day is a time loop of the day the class went to Kijima Starland on a school trip. Rikuto Ichinose and Yamato Tanabe are both well aware of the story, as previously the two put together a haunted house based on it at the school’s cultural festival. They, alongside with their classmates like Misaki Hayakawa and Arisa Kinoshita, find themselves caught until the find all of the body parts of a deceased little girl, all while being hunted by that same The Red Person child. While things don’t go so well in the first chapter, they all awake on the bus the day before as they head to the Kijima Starland and the loop begins anew. However, this time they remember everything that’s about to happen.

The original Re/Member series ended in 2017. The movie appeared in Japan in 2022, then appeared worldwide on Netflix in 2023. The new live-action Re/Member: The Last Night movie is set to air on September 5, 2025. A number of manga adaptations of the original story appeared in Japan. Production IG even released a short anime series on its Tate Anime app in Japan in 2017.

Chapter 1 of the Re/Member: The Last Night horror manga is available now on MangaPlus, and chapter 2 will be available there and via Shonen Jump + on July 7, 2025. The live-action movie it is tied to will launch in Japan on September 5, 2025. The last new manga to appear on the service was Kaedegami.
