Rebuild of Evangelion Asuka and Rei Nendoroid Dolls Shared

Good Smile Company offered an update on social media on the Rebuild of Evangelion Asuka Shikinami Langley and Rei Ayanami Nendoroid dolls and Sanrio sweatshirts. The former two appeared as dressed and painted prototypes, while all five shirts appeared on Nendoroid Doll dress form mannequins.

First, here are how the Asuka and Rei Evangelion Nendoroid Dolls will look. Both of them are wearing their Tokyo-3 First Municipal Junior High School uniforms. While the outfits are identical, their socks and shoes are different. The Rei doll’s face plate features a gentle smile, while the Asuka one makes her look a bit shocked as she blushes. There’s no release window for either one yet.

While this will be the first time Asuka and Rei appear as Nendoroid Dolls like this, we have seen standard Nendoroids of both characters in their Rebuild of Evangelion attire. Good Smile Company first sold them in 2020, then brought them back again in 2024. As those are standard figures, those come with multiple face plates and accessories. Nendoroid Dolls come with one face plate and an outfit.

As for the Sanrio Nendoroid Doll sweatshirts, there will be five varieties available. Hello Kitty’s face appears on a red shirt. Cinnamoroll’s is on a blue one. Pompompurin is on a yellow sweatshirt. Finally, Kuromi is on a purple one and My Melody on a pink one. Like the Evangelion dolls, there is no release window for these extra clothing items.

The Rebuild of Evangelion movies are available to stream on Amazon, while the anime series is on Netflix.
