In addition to the new PlayStation 4 tactical RPG that was announced, the fantasy light novel series by Ryo Mizuno is also getting a smartphone action RPG called Record of Grancrest War: Quartet of War.

In Record of Grancrest War: Quartet of War you’ll make parties of four and will get to switch between each member by pressing on their icons. Its 3D action battles are allow you to perform simple combos by tapping the screen. You can use the “Character Change” system to pull off a variety of combos while cycling through characters.
There are three kinds of roles with the “Lord” (tank) shown as Theo specializes in buffing allies, the “Mage” (support) shown as Siluca can use magic to heal or stop enemies in their track. And then you have Irvine as the “Demon Seal Holders” (attacker/DPS) that specializes in dealing heavy damage.
Bandai Namco is preparing an original story that will be told in the style of anime episodes. There are also some Guild Battle features that require strategizing before taking on the powerful enemies.
And lastly, there’s a pre-registration campaign going on where you can get a 4-star Siluca for 10,000 registrations, 50 Seal Gems (about two gacha pulls) for 30,000 registrations, 75 Seal Gems (three pulls) for 50,000 registrations, and 125 Seal Gems (five pulls) for 70,000 registrations.
