Rockstar Games announced Red Dead Online, a new online connected experience that uses the gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation for players to explore its vast open world online.

Read Dead Online is described as an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, which blends narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in a different way. It’ll use Red Dead Redemption 2 as the base and players will get to explore solo or with buddies. It’ll also feature constant updates and adjustments over time.

Access to Red Dead Online will be free to anyone with a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 on either PS4 or Xbox One. There will be a public beta for Red Dead Online prior to its launch that is currently planned for November 2018. More information on the beta will be announced soon.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
