Thanks to both the September 2026 State of Play showcase and Konami Press Start stream, we found out a release window and platforms for the upcoming JRPG Rev.Noir. The game will debut in 2027, though a more pinned down date isn’t available yet. The game will show up on the Xbox Series X and PC in addition to the PS5. Two new trailers also appeared that went over the story and characters we’ll meet.
The first video shows up during the State of Play and focused on the story for the Konami JRPG. Asch is an amnesiac who is found by a woman named Fine who is going to use her Rainbow Astria ability to end the Lightfall that kills people it touches by turning them to Blighthusks. It turns out he has an Astral Ordinance save people. Since their goals seem to align, the two end up traveling together to defeat being known as Provitons in the hopes of causing a Cessation and saving everyone. The story trailer begins with Asch being stabbed by an individual in a burning town. We then hear about how he’s determined to help people and save Fine, while also fighting alongside others. However, the story scenes shown suggest that something else could be going on.

The second trailer is a bit more focused. It looks more at gameplay, showing Asch and Fine in battle against different opponents and bosses. It also suggests some individuals possess things like Kardieos, and Asch is able to absorb and use the ones of people he defeats. As an example in the footage, he absorbs one that makes the perfect dodge window a bit longer. We also see some of his special abilities, with listed ones being Barrier Star, Blessing Star, Divine Star, Flashing Star, and Severing Star.
Rev.Noir will release in 2027 and appear on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
