Nintendo has always had solid hotel distribution from the multi-cart Famiboxes shown occasionally on GameSniped to pay to play Nintendo 64 games brought to you by Lodgenet. Console collectors get your credit cards ready because Nintendo has a specially designed Wii specifically for hotels.
The hotel friendly Wii will premiere at Westin Hotels as part of the WestinWORKOUT program. Since it’s a console designed with fitness first Wii Sports and Wii Fit are preloaded on the system. That’s right games can run off a disc-less Wii, which probably means it has some kind of mass storage system. Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree and Wii Play are the other announced games. The list of titles can be rotated at will by hotel management. It also sounds like this Wii won’t have the familiar channel menu since Nintendo mentions there is a new game menu to simply operation.
So, a hard drive or network storage system that works with the Wii is coming out for public use…
