Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World- Death or Kiss will have protagonist Subaru under another curse where he must kiss a girl within a certain time limit, and the game’s opening movie from 5pb. gives us a look at the game’s candidates.
As previously detailed, the game takes place around the “Beauty Queen Election” event, where the five candidates to be the next ruler of Lugnica must compete amongst each other for a royal treasure prize.
Subaru comes in contact with the treasure and somehow accidentally kisses it, and gets a curse that requires him to kiss someone without letting them know why, and it must also be a legit kiss in order to lift the curse.
In order to find the kiss, whilst preventing others from coming into contact with this “Metia,” he’ll need to help out one of the candidates before things get worse. And yeah, we can expect him to have some more explaining to do when he confronts Emilia about it down the road, whether he chooses her as his candidate or not.
