We previously reported that Square Enix’s free-to-play smartphone title in Rise of Mana is ending its service on March 31. In commemoration, the company shared a look at the game’s ending movie.
The above is a look at the “Ending Movie” video provided by Square Enix. Since its launch back in March of 2014, we’ve seen various collaborations for the game and a two-year run isn’t exactly a horrible run; however, producer Masaru Oyamada previously commented that there hasn’t been a proper balance in development and capital for the game, nor did they feel that they could continue providing satisfying content for the users.
While Rise of Mana is coming to an end as a free-to-play title, Oyamada did mention that they’ll look into finding ways to bring it back someday in another form.
Rise of Mana launched back in March 6, 2014 for iOS and later for Android on June 26, 2014. The game will officially shut down on March 31, 2016.
