A leak last week revealed Jaleco’s Rushing Beat series was on track for a Virtual Console re-release starting with Rival Turf. The beat ’em up minus the ridiculous box art will be available today on Wii for 800 Wii Points ($8). Notice how the cover notes "simultaneous two player action!" as a key feature? That was… actually a selling point. Final Fight, which predates Rival Turf by a year and a half, only had single player and beat ’em ups tend to be best played with a friend.
Sonic Powered’s second portable take on From the Abyss makes its debut in English as a DSiWare download. Anonymous Notes Chapter 2 – From the Abyss – is an action RPG that creates random dungeons where players can use a Soul Crush move to drain skills and spells from monsters. This DSiWare download costs 200 DSiWare Points ($2).
Also, for those of you that haven’t played a Bit.Trip game yet, a free demo of Bit.Trip Runner is online.
