If you played River City Ransom you know Riki as Ryan. He’s Alex’s "buddy" and in the Kunio series Riki is a rival who actually appears as a boss character in Renegade.
Million and Arc System Works announced they’re going to make a retro beat ’em up starring Riki. In Riki’s Legend players only have to worry about two buttons A (punch) and B (kick). Pressing A+B together makes Riki jump. If that’s sounds too old school you can customize the controls in the game’s status menu. When Riki isn’t getting into fights he can eat sushi, get a massage or buy books that teach him new moves.
Why is Riki so teed off? Two years ago, Riki joined the soccer team and was the "scoring king." He was the favorite player in Hanazono High… until he was suspended. During a big match, twenty cheering fans got injured and Riki’s school got involved. Riki was kicked off the soccer team and suspended from school for half a year. I guess a "bancho" or badass like Riki wouldn’t be fazed by missing class, but Riki wants to find out the truth behind the incident. And that means using his fists or something.
Riki’s Legend will be released as a downloadable Nintendo 3DS game via Japan’s eShop on December 12.
