The previous game of the series in Medabots: Dual was an action game for the Nintendo 3DS, and it looks like the next installment will also be for the Nintendo handheld with what seems to be a reboot for the series to welcome new players, according to this week’s Famitsu magazine. The report indicates that Medabots 8 Kabuto and Kuwagata versions will have everything from the world to robots displayed in the form of 3D models. The system is also going to be revamped to make it easier for new players to enjoy, as part of what the developers consider “Medabots reborn”.
The game will feature online and local multiplayer with a versus mode and a feature that lets you trade Medabots parts. More details on other new features will be available soon.
Medabots 8: Kabuto and Medabots 8: Kuwagata will be released on August 28, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS. Preorders include an original soundtrack disc with the game.
