Robotech: The Macross Saga HD is a side-scrolling shoot’em up inspired by the Macross Saga. There are 11 playable characters, though only five are immediately available. Multiple sorts of vehicles are available, from Veritech to Destroids. Like the original Game Boy Advance version, it offers multiplayer. However, only up to two people can play together.

The product page offers minimal details about the Switch version of the game. There don’t appear to be any new features. It seems the main change is the new visual direction. It abandons the Game Boy Advance sprites for a new HD look. A number of screenshots offer a peek at the new presentation. One image also shows the full returning character roster.

Robotech: The Macross Saga HD is available on the Nintendo Switch in Australia and some European countries. Robotech: The Macross Saga is available on the Game Boy Advance.
