Rumor: Diablo Art Book Ad Apparently Leaks Diablo IV

The latest issue of Germany’s GameStar magazine apparently references Diablo IV, even though Activision and Blizzard have not announced it yet. The GameStar website confirmed that its next issue, which goes on sale on October 23, 2019, has a The Art of Diablo advertisement on page 27. In it, it lists Diablo IV among the games with art showcased. (Thanks to Julian S, for the image of the ad!)

The Art of Diablo, by Jake Gerli and Robert Brooks, will be released on November 3, 2019. The official Amazon product listing only mentions Diablo in general. However, the most notable sentence in the ad starts out, “With over 500 artworks from Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, and Diablo IV…,” though that is the only point in that ad where Diablo IV is mentioned.

While Diablo IV hasn’t been announced yet, there is still time for it to be announced before this art book’s debut. BlizzCon 2019 will be held November 1-2, 2019 in Anaheim, California. Also, a rumor started back in June 2019 suggested the game could be announced this year.

Diablo III is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The Art of Diablo will appear on November 3, 2019.
