Rumor: Tales Of Xillia Served In Early August

In a product listing for a Tales of the Abyss boxset, Hobby Channel may have leaked a timeframe for Tales of Xillia. Currently, Namco Bandai has not announced a date for the PlayStation 3 title.

While listing titles tied to the 15th anniversary of Tales, Hobby Channel mentioned an incorrect release date for Tales of Abyss and said Tales of Xillia, the latest game in the series, would be released in early August.

Word spread quickly through Japanese blogs and forums. Hobby Channel has since corrected their listing and removed the timeframe. Hachimaki has a copy of the original text.

Officially, Tales of Xillia is slated for release sometime this year. Namco Bandai tends to keep vague timelines for Tales games until a specific title is the next Tales game to market. Perhaps, after Tales of the Abyss for Nintendo 3DS comes out on June 30 in Japan we’ll hear more.
