Shueisha announced that it is now possible for people worldwide to vote in the third Sakamoto Days popularity poll for characters from the anime and manga series. People in Japan can vote via postcard via picking up either volume 29 of the manga or issue 48 of Weekly Shonen Jump. However, the official site is also open for anyone to visit and vote once per day until the poll closes on November 30, 2026.
The character selection section for the third Sakamoto Days popularity poll features 126 options. This ranges from the main cast and major villains to more minor characters. The mangaka Yuto Suzuki is included as the 126th option. It is also possible to write-in someone by choosing the 127th option and typing in whoever wasn’t already listed.
The top 10 characters from the second Sakamoto Days character poll, which was held in 2025, also appeared again at the top of this third installment’s official site as a reminder of where some folks placed last time. Here’s the official reminder list:
- Yoichi Nagumo
- Asakura Shin
- Shishiba
- Osaragi
- Natsuki Seba
- Rion Akao
- Gaku
- Taro Sakamoto
- Amane Yotsumura
- Heisuke Mashimo
Ironically, Sakamoto himself has never placed first in any of the popularity polls so far. In the first one held in 2023, he placed fifth, and he fell to eighth in the second.
Shueisha also recently released the Sakamoto Days “Run Sakamoto Run” Vaundy music video on YouTube worldwide. It’s one of the anime themes. You can watch that below.
The Sakamoto Days third character popularity poll runs until November 30, 2026, and people can vote once per day via the official site. Viz Media handles the manga in English, and the anime adaptation is streaming on Netflix.
