While it’s relatively unknown outside of Japan, Sega’s Sakura Taisen franchise is huge. Toys, anime, plays and a café that serves food from the series are some of the ways the Sakura Taisen franchise has made money beyond the video game series. Now that Sega and Sammy are one happy family, they are about to release a Playstation 2 pachinko game with characters from Sakura Taisen on September 13. This isn’t the first time video game characters appeared on a pachinko machine, but the way Sonic is appearing everywhere Jissen Pachinko Hisshouhou! Sonic Casino Zone Edition could already be in development.
