Sakura Wars Crosses Into Another Strategy Game

Since Red Entertainment isn’t making new Sakura Wars games the Imperial Assault Force are free to make cameos in other games like Project X Zone. Characters from the entire Sakura Wars series will also appear in Daisenryaku Web.

Daisenryaku is a long running series of military tactics games from SystemSoft Alpha. Readers here might be more familiar with its moe-ized spinoff Moe Moe Taisen. Anyway, NHN Hangame got the Daisenryaku license from SystemSoft Alpha and made Daisenryaku Web for web browsers.

This December, Daisenryaku Web will have a crossover event where the Imperial Assault Force, Paris Assault Force, and New York Combat Revenue join the game. Players will be able to use different steam-powered mecha in Daisenryaku Web too.

Demons followed the Sakura Wars characters and invaded the Daisenryaku Web world. During the event period Sakura Wars characters Sakura Shinguji, Erica Fontaine, and Gemini Sunrise can act as your navigator. In May 2013 the event will end so players will go back to fighting regular tanks.
