After Nintendo announced last year that Mewtwo will be available as a free DLC playable character for those who purchase both versions of the game, we haven’t heard too much about him, but director Masahiro Sakurai reassures fans that he’ll be available, soon.

Sakurai appeared as a guest in a recent livestream alongside popular voice actor Tomokazu Sugita and others, to talk Smash Bros. In the above clip, Sakurai reassures fans that Mewtwo is “pretty much done” and to look forward to an announcement soon.

While Mewtwo will be available for free to those who purchased both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo previously revealed that fans in Japan will get to purchase him as a DLC later. We’ve yet to hear an official announcement as far as getting Mewtwo as a DLC purchase in the West.
