Samurai Shodown Sen “Pretty Much Done” When Xseed Got It

Samurai Shodown Sen slipped into stores this week, a game which Xseed officially announced last month. How did Xseed get it into stores in a “flash”?

By the time Xseed got the Xbox 360 game, it was nearly complete. On Facebook, an Xseed Games staff member said, “Well, we didn’t localize Samurai Shodown Sen as much as help SNK Playmore bring it to market as the game was pretty much done by the time we got involved.” Ignition originally had the rights to Samurai Shodown Sen and planned to release it under the name Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny in 2009.

This tidbit came up when a fan asked Xseed if they would pick up The King of Fighters XIII. Xseed answered, “We would be honored to work on The King of Fighters XIII if given the chance, but the final decision is up to SNK Playmore. We’ll do our best.”

SNK Playmore have not announced plans to release The king of Fighters XIII on consoles at this time.
