Months ago, Takara Tomy announced a line of Sanrio characters gacha figures that reimagined each one as a tooth, and now it is confirmed they’ll all appear in Japan in November 2025. It will be 300円 (~$2) per try. Six possible designs will be available. As these are Takara Tomy items and not part of Bandai Namco’s Gashapon line, it’s unknown if we’ll see them worldwide. Rakuten in Japan is already showing listings for sets that don’t include the sixth “rare” design.

Each of the figures is just over an inch tall (35mm). You get the character dressed as a tooth and a pink stand that resembles gums to hold them. (They can be removed and displayed outside of the stand.) All of them are healthy teeth except for Badtz Maru, which is suffering from a cavity. The lone “rare” one is an alternate version of Hello Kitty that is a gold tooth. In each case, there’s an accessory to help establish who the character is, with both Hello Kitty options having a bow on the front and My Melody’s ears poking out of the top of the tooth.

Here’s the full list of character options someone could randomly get:

  • Badtz Maru
  • Hello Kitty
  • Hello Kitty (gold tooth variant)
  • My Melody
  • Pekkle
  • Pompompurin

The full ad or the Sanrio characters tooth gacha figures shows all six of them together arranged in a row that makes them look like they’re in place in a mouth. A person’s fingers are shown “pulling” the standard Hello Kitty tooth from the “gum” stand to offer a sense of scale.

Some of the more typical Sanrio characters gacha figures released recently are a little more ordinary. For example, ahead of Halloween 2025 some ones of mascots in yokai costumes appeared. But in the past other unusual merchandise, like items that focus on characters’ butts, did appear.
