Sanrio announced it will now publish games under its new Sanrio Games arm, with the first one appearing on both the Switch and Switch 2. It will be called Sanrio Party Land. It will be the first of 10 planned titles coming direct from the company. An official website is now open that will act as a hub for this division and offer insight into the projects that are on the way.
Sanrio Party Land is going to be a multiplayer title. This means we can probably expect a party game that is something like Mario Party or perhaps the minigame collection Hello Kitty Picnic. There’s no trailer available yet or any screenshots. However, it is expected to show up in Fall 2026, so we should see more soon.
While Sanrio Games will mark the first official publishing branch, we regularly see titles starring the company’s mascots. For example, the Animal Crossing-like Hello Kitty Island Adventures appeared on consoles, PCs, and Apple mobile devices, with updates like City Town adding new characters and locations. There’s also a new competitive game called Sanrio Characters Smash Festa for the Switch and PC.
Sanrio Party Land will come to the Switch and Switch 2 in Fall 2026.
