Destiny of Spirits, a free to play Vita game, blends mythology from the America, Europe, and Asia. Occasionally, you’ll see a cameos like Kat from Gravity Rush, but I wouldn’t have guessed that Santa Claus would be in the game… let alone as an enemy.
Destiny of Spirits has a holiday raid event going on where you can fight a different boss each day. There are Santa versions of three spirits already in the game – Tsukuyomi, Iyatiku, and Verdandi – which have different costumes and abilities. Santa Claus himself is the final boss in the event. The elves aren’t separate enemies, Santa and the elves are considered one spirit in the game.
If you beat enough Raid Bosses, you can unlock Santa Claus, a light spirit, that uses A Present for You battle skill that deals heavy damage and Children’s Dream, a support skill that increases your chance to do a counterattack.
The Holly & Jolly event for Destiny of Spirits is live now and ends on December 24.
